Laura Vanderkam has some great advice in this TEDtalk. It’s all about how we use our free time. There are lots of great snippets in here – give it a watch.
She talks about taking time every Friday afternoon for scheduling slots in the following week for career, relationships, AND self. How often do we do all three? It’s all about looking for time when we can do the good stuff and making it a priority.
I love her idea about writing your annual performance review for the upcoming year instead of the past year, and listing 3-5 things that you will do to make it successful. Or writing your Christmas/Holiday letter for the upcoming year, reviewing all the good things you will have done. This helps us set our priorities.
Take a look and get prioritizing the good stuff.
